With 45 years in the Indian banking sector, Mr. S. Govindan is a seasoned professional with an extensive background at Union Bank of India. Having served in various leadership roles, including Regional and Zonal Head, he possesses comprehensive expertise in national operations and personal banking.
As the former Board Secretary and Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Union Bank, Mr. Govindan played a key role in industry-level initiatives with the RBI and IBA, focusing on customer service enhancement and systemic improvements.
Post-retirement in 2012, he continued contributing to the financial sector, holding senior positions and providing independent consultancy to NBFCs and Housing Finance Companies. Mr. Govindan's valuable insights and industry knowledge make him an asset to our organization.
